About Agile Pakistan Elections
Elections encourage members to engage in the society leadership by remaining active executive. Elections allow people to choose the leadership whose strategical thinking will guide the society law-making.
Elections provide a peaceful transition of power from one form of leadership to the next
Election Schedule
As per the Charter version 1.0 (2019), it is stated that city-based chapter-level elections for president will be held in March (after every 2 years)
For national chapter, it will be in June (after every 2 years)

How to be part of the election commission?
For the city base chapter election commission, the following could be the election commission members
- Chapter executive Team member
- Chapter board member
- National Chapter executive team member
For the national chapter election commission, the following could be the election commission members
- National Chapter Executive Team Member
- National Chapter board member
Who can nominate for President?
Chapter executive team and board can nominate the candidates for president or person can nominate his/her self for president and the election commission shall get consent of that nominated person that is he/she willing to participate as President Candidate.
Who can Vote?
In the case of subscribers (not members), who are:
- Executive Member
- Board Member
- Any participant who has attended at least 3 events in the last tenure of 2 years.
Once Agile Pakistan has regular memberships drive, then
- Only paid members of that relevant chapter
- Any participant who has attended at least 3 events in the last tenure of 2 years.
- Executive Member
- Board Member
Election Process
- 15 days before the tenure ends
- Chapter (city or national) president should initiate the election drive
- Few steps to do:
- Ask to board members to join the election commission (in odd numbers)
- After the election commission is done, then that election commission will define a POC (point of contact) for the election Commission
- Election Commission will announce a call for President's nominations for a limited time (like within 2 days nominees should submit their details)
- Election Commission will review the candidates and ask for their personal consent
- After consent, Election Commission will make a voting poll with a fair time-bound
- Up to that given date, the votes will be casted (voters defined in the “Who Can Vote” heading)
- The candidate securing maximum votes will be elected as President
- Election Commission will announce the next President
- And Election Commission will be dissolved
Election Rules
- If no nominee, then-current president will continue for the next tenure
- If only one nominee is, then after discussion between that candidate and the election commission, that will be announced as president
If a nominated candidate is not willing to participate in the election then election process will be carried out again
