I am currently teaching in Department of Software Engineering at SMIU and also enrolled in Ph.D. (CS) with my research interest in software testing. With a unique blend of 8 years of teaching experience and 2 years in the software industry as a Technical Writer and Software Quality Assurance Engineer, I bring a wealth of knowledge and passion to the classroom. My journey in education has been nothing short of rewarding. Over the past 8 years, I have had the privilege of nurturing the minds of aspiring software engineers, guiding them towards success. My time in the software industry has given me a real-world perspective that I integrate into my teaching. As a Technical Writer, I honed my communication skills, translating complex technical concepts into easily understandable documentation. Additionally, my role as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer instilled in me a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering impeccable software products. I firmly believe that modern software engineering education should align with industry best practices. I have a particular interest and substantial experience in teaching Agile methodologies to students as a crucial part of the software engineering curriculum. My students not only grasp Agile principles but also learn to apply them effectively, preparing them for the dynamic world of software development. My commitment to Agile principles goes beyond the classroom. I have been given this opportunity by Agile Pakistan to join their Karachi Chapter as VP Academic Affairs to further promote Agile practices in our educational institutions. I believe that fostering a culture of Agile thinking among educators and students alike will not only benefit individual careers but also elevate the software industry in Pakistan. I look forward to collaborating with like-minded professionals at Agile Pakistan to drive positive change in our educational landscape.
