I am Assistant Professor of Software Engineering in the Faculty of Computing at Riphah International University. Before joining academia, I was CEO of Pakistan Information Networks (PIN), a full-service software development and consulting firm. I have over 15 years of experience in leading teams, establishing and promoting the best practices in software development environments. I have managed numerous software projects for various organizations including government, multilateral agencies, development sector, professional firms, and corporations. I am still an active full stack web developer and work independently with remote teams.
My general research interests are in the field of software engineering, and to date, my focus has spanned the areas of software engineering practices, project management, and web development. I am also leading the Applied Software Engineering Research Group (ASERG) at Riphah International University. I received my M.S. and B.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Central Missouri, USA.
I am founding member of the Internet Society (ISOC) Islamabad, and professional member of various organizations including OPEN Islamabad, AgilePK, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), IEEE, and IEEE Computer Society.
